Abstract

1322621 Composite filaments KANEGAFUCHI BOSEKI KK 19 April 1971 [9 Feb 1970] 21335/71 Heading B5B [Also in Divisions C3 and D1] A bicomponent filament, for knitted hosiery (see Divisions D1-D2) consists of a homopolyamide component and a terpolymer component of caproamide, alkylene isophthalamide and an aliphatic polyamide. The terpolymer contains 80-88%, preferably 81-86%, of caproamide; 3-10%, preferably 5-8%, of alkylene isophthalamide; and 6-14%, preferably 8-12% of the aliphatic polyamide. The terpolymer and nylon 6 are separately melted at 280‹ C. and conjugate spun.
