Abstract

1322566 Continuous casting SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 4 Nov 1970 [6 Nov 1969] 52506/70 Heading B3F [Also in Division C5] Polybutene, with or without a content of oil, is used as a lubricant (see Division C5) in a horizontal mould when continuously casting Al or Al alloy (e.g. Mg-Si-Al). The added oil may include castor, rape seed or lard oils, methyl lardate or narrow boiling range petroleum fractions. The polybutene may have an average molecular weight of 470 or 650.
