Abstract

1321479 Bolts DOM HOLDINGS Ltd 30 Nov 1971 [1 Dec 1970 8 March 1971 25 May 1971] 57075/70 Heading F2H In an anchoring device a wedge-shaped member 6 operatively engages a socket wall 2 by means of an elongated protrusion 24 extending radially and longitudinally of the shank 1. The wedge 6 may be of mild steel, pressure die cast aluminium or a plastics material and have an angle, subtended between the base of the recess 5 and the longitudinal axis of the shank 1, of between 8 to 15 degrees. The wedge 6 may have an arcuate outer surface 23, Fig. 7 (not shown), and, together with the shank 1, grooves 16, 17 to accommodate a wire, clip or tape to hold the two components together prior to use.
