1321310 Electrotherapeutic apparatus R F CROMLEY 13 July 1970 [16 July 1969] 33877/ 70 Heading A5R Electrotherapeutic apparatus comprises power supply 18 having a step-up transformer having a primary winding 18 connected via variable resistor 16. current-limiting resistor 15 and a timer switch 14 to a supply of A.C., electrodes 42, 44 for connection to the patient being connected across a capacitor 27, charged by a rectifier 24 from the transformer secondary winding 22, via current-limiting resistors and a capacitor 36 shunted by a neon discharge lamp 34. Power supply 18 is sealed and gives a D.C. output of up to 10 KV., the output being indicated by a meter 37. The apparatus may be used for reducing inflamation and repairing damage to the nervous system in an affected area.
