Abstract
1320268 Haloalkanesulphonanilides MINNESOTA MINING & MFG CO 19 April 1971 [13 April 1970 4 Jan 1971] 26675/71 Heading C2C Novel compounds (I) where R x is C 1-4 haloalkyl having at least one α-halo atom or at least two #-halo atoms, R is H, a cation, Me, Et or -C(:O)-A-Q (A is O or a carbon to carbon bond and Q is C 1-4 alkyl), Y and Y<SP>1</SP> are OH, acetoxy, amino, halo, C 1-3 alkyl or C 1-3 alkoxy, n and n<SP>1</SP> are 0, 1 or 2 and L is -CHOH-, -CHOHCH 2 -, -C(Me)(OH)- or -C(Ph)(OH)- are made by standard methods utilizing carbonyl and formyl compounds. Pharmaceutical preparations having antiinflammatory and anti-microbial activities contain (I) as active ingredient; administration is orally or parenterally.
