Abstract

1319273 Knitting machines G BILLI & C SpA 12 Aug 1970 [14 Aug 1969] 38829/70 Heading D1C A knitting machine has a resilient yarn feed system comprising a lever 29 carried by and biassed against a yarn guide 21 20 that the yarn can slide between the lever 29 and the guide 21 in the normal feed direction but is clamped by the lever if it moves in the opposite direction. As shown a rotary cylinder knitting machine with a welt dial has a pneumatic device 11 for holding yarn ends and yarn guides 21 operated by cam drum 19. Guides 21 each consist of aligned eyelets 23A, 23B and a surface 21C against which the yarn is pressed by the end 29A of lever 21 which is biassed by a weight 29B.
