Abstract

1318758 X-ray apparatus COMPAGNIE GENERALE DE RADIOLOGIE 1 Oct 1970 [10 Oct 1969] 46838/70 Heading H5R X-ray diagnostic apparatus includes both a film changer and an X-ray image transducer, to permit either the making of a radiograph, or radioscopic examination, the film feeding, film clamping and cutting, and film ejecting operations being controlled by separate motors Ml, M2 and M3. Mounted within the light-tight housing 1 is a magazine 5 in which a roll of film may be placed to be fed by rollers 6, 7, 8, 9a and 9b into the space between a pair of X-ray intensifying screens 10 and 11, of which screen 11 is movable towards and away from screen, with linked movement of film cutter blade 12b against blade 12a, and of roller 14 away from ejection roller 13, to cut the film, and to release the tension on it, when it is gripped between the two screens. After exposure, the film is fed by rollers 13, 14 and 15 into the light-tight receptacle 16. Radioscopic examination is by means of a TV camera 4 and X-ray image intensifier 2, upon the screen of which the X-rays are incident through the screens 10 and 11. The energization of the X-ray tube and the motors M1, M2, and M3 may be programmed to ensure that, for example, every fifth X-ray pulse provides a radiograph.
