Abstract

1318471 Windscreens SAINT-GOBAIN 19 April 1971 [20 March 1970] 24875/71 Heading B7J [Also in Division H4] A panel, such as a vehicle window, comprises two transparent sheets laminated together and provided with at least oneaerialconductortherebetween. A connection point for said aerial, and for a receiver lead-in cable, is inwardly displaced at least 6 cms. from the edge of the panel. In an embodiment, an aerial conductor 3, Fig. 2, is arranged in a plastics layer between two glass sheets 10, 11. A pin 5, located 6 cms. or more from the edge of the composite panel, has a base 6 which is in contact with the aerial conductor 3, and which is clamped in position by means of a smaller diameter hole 12 in the glass sheet 10. The glass around the hole 12 is preferably pre-stressed.
