Abstract

1318457 Influencing weather OSSTERREICHISCHE STUDIENGESELLSCHAFT FUR ATOMENERGIE GmbH 21 Sept 1971 [24 Sept 1970] 44037/71 Heading A1X [Also in Division F3] A rocket for seeding clouds comprises a seeding substance 11 which is atomized by the ignition of a thermo-aluminic mixture 10 when the external temperature, measured by a thermocouple junction 2 on the surface of the rocket, falls within a predetermined range. The current from the thermocouple is amplified and operates a trigger which in turn actuates an electronic switch to enable current to flow to an igniter 9. The switch is adjustable in accordance with the desired temperature.
