Abstract

1318386 Phosphate and thiophosphate esters MITSUI TOATSU CHEMICALS Inc 10 Sept 1970 [12 Sept 1969 18 March 1970] 43379/70 Heading C2P Novel compounds of the general formula wherein X is H or halogen, e.g. Cl or Br, Y is O or S and R is C 1 -C 6 alkyl are obtained by condensing, in the presence of a tertiary amine, a compound of the formula or a salt thereof, e.g. an alkali metal salt, with a compound of the formula ZP(Y)(OR) 2 wherein Z is halogen, e.g. Cl. The reaction is suitably effected in dimethyl formamide as solvent. The products have insecticidal and acaricidal properties and may be used in admixture with one or more liquid or solid diluents to provide pesticidal compositions which may suitably be in the form of wettable powders, dusts, granulates or emulsifiable concentrates.
