Abstract
1318018 Coated flexible abrasives CARBORUNDUM CO 14 Dec 1971 [21 Dec 1970] 57960/71 Heading C4V A flexible abrasive coated product comprises a flexible backing, a making adhesive coat having a plurality of abrasive grains embedded therein, a sandsize adhesive over the abrasive grain and an oversize coat of a highly chlorinated paraffin wax having a chain length of at least 20 carbon atoms, which contains more than 60% chlorine and has a melting point of at least 80 C. The making and sandsizing coats are preferably resins such as phenol-formaldehyde condensates and the oversize coat is preferably applied in an amount of at least 0À5 lbs/ream.
