Abstract

1318014 Power cultivator MAMETORA AGRICULTURE MACHINERY & CO 19 Oct 1971 48350/71 Heading A1B [Also in Division F2] A power cultivator comprises a hollow inverted V-shaped main frame 1, having cultivator blades 3 rotatably mounted at the front, land wheels 5 of different diameters (Fig. 5, not shown) to allow the device to be operated on a gradient and motor 7 at the rear; the frame 1 housing power transmission means connecting a shaft 10 to both the cultivator shaft 2 and the wheel axle 4, pulley 11a on shaft 10 being driven off the motor pulley 11b. Gears can be selected by shift lever 25 to drive the device either at a high speed forward with the blades 3 inoperative, or at a low speed, forward or reverse, with the blades rotating. The gears are selected by engaging a lateral projection on the lever 25 in shift positions defined in an H groove on a plate 26. Handles 6 extend rearwardly from the top of the frame and their position may be adjusted by engaging pin 30 in one of the holes 31 in plate 26.
