Abstract
1317724 Delivering measured quantities of fluent solid material ENGLISH GLASS CO Ltd 19 June 1970 [26 March 1969] 15895/69 Heading B8N A container for dispensing metered quantities of fluent solid material includes a gate comprising transverse walls 2 and 4 and skirts 3 and 5 extending from the free edges of the walls, and an apertured outlet 11. When the container is inverted (as illustrated) to dispense material from volume 9, a further quantity of material will flow from volume 7 into volume 8. Return of the container to its upright position after discharge of contents from volume 9 will cause the material in volume 8 to flow into volume 9 thus enabling the cycle to be repeated. The container wall 1 may be of cardboard or plastics material.
