Abstract

1317755 Blood transfusion AGA AB 30 July 1970 [11 Aug 1969] 36837/70 Heading A5R [Also in Division B8] A flexible, frusto-conical or toroidal container for use in the centrifuging, freezing and transfusion of blood comprises side walls 1, 2 welded together at their radially inner edges by a wall 5 having at least one tube 4 connected thereto. The walls 1, 2, 5 may comprise an inner layer of P.T.F.E. and an outer layer of nylon. The container may be placed in an outer rigid toroidal casing (8', 8", Fig. 2) for freezing the blood and in a bucket (10, Fig. 3) for transfusion of the blood.
