Abstract

1317083 Road danger lamp CHALWYN Ltd 28 April 1972 [28 May 1971] 18163/71 Heading F4R A road danger lamp suitable to be fuelled by paraffin has a lens of injection-moulded thermoplastics which is resistant to paraffin and the heat generated by the lamp. The lens is preferably moulded from red, amber, blue or green polycarbonate to give a domed centre 1 while the outer part 4 of the lens is moulded from a different coloured material or the inner or outer surface of the part 4 is silvered or whitened to act as a reflector. The external bead 6 of the lens has four lugs 7 which are snapped past the lip of the metal case of the lamp.
