1316110 Insulated pipe spacers TAC CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS Ltd 22 Oct 1970 [9 Sept 1969] 44447/69 Heading F2P Three or more angularly positioned spacer elements 7 of spring steel strip each comprise bent end wing portions 10, bearing against a sleeve 6, which extend from a base 9 clamped against an insulated water pipe 3, 4, 5 by an encircling band 13. The wing portions 10 may be straight or curved, and for each element 7 may be circumferentially positioned, as shown, in the pipe assembly, the base portion 9 having slots to accommodate the band 13, or may be axially positioned in the pipe assembly. Water is carried in a steel pipe 3 insulated with a surrounding layer 4 of solid calcium silicate, the sleeve 5 being of steel. The outer sleeve 6 is of asbestos cement.
