Abstract

1316105 Printing apparatus JAMES ROSS Ltd 29 June 1970 [18 Aug 1969] 41205/69 Heading B6C [Also in Division D2] A doctor blade assembly in a printing machine comprises a blade 57 contacting a cylinder 7, the blade being locked in position between a plurality of upper locating surfaces on a plurality of pivoted levers 21 and an upper flexible pressure plate 39 which is riveted 'to the levers. The levers are mounted on a common shaft 19 mounted in brackets 14 welded to a plate 3 mounted on a column support 5. Adjustment of the pressure of the blade edge at the cylinder surface is accomplished by air inflated flexible tubes 61, 63 situated at either side of the shaft 19 and lying between the lower surfaces of the levers 21 and the upper surface of the plate 3.
