1316017 Animal rearing stall J KRANZLE 7 July 1971 [7 July 1970] 31962/71 Heading AIM An animal rearing stall for preventing young animals from being crushed by their mother comprises two members 1, 2 which are placed on each side of the mother on supports 5, 6 set into ground sleeves 7; arms 3 being mounted on the members to connect them to the supports via cross tube assemblies 4. The spacing of the members 1, 2 and their height above the ground can be adjusted by sliding the arms 3 in cross tube assemblies 4 and by sliding the assemblies 4 on the posts; the desired position being fixed by locking screws 9. The supports 5 are pivoted to their sleeves at 10 to enable the members 1, 2 to be swung clockwise to facilitate cleaning of the ground within the stall; to assist this pivoting supports 6 do not project very far into their sleeves. The embodiment shown may be modified by bending the centre of the lower section 11 upwards (Fig. 2, not shown) and the members 1, 2 may be rectangular. A bridging loop may be provided on the upper sections 15 to link the members 1, 2 (Fig. 4, not shown).
