Abstract

1316090 Box pallets ASHTON CONTAINERS Ltd 30 July 1970 [7 Aug 1969] 39518/69 Headings B8H and B8P A container comprises walls 10-13 folded from a blank, and flaps 17, 18 hinged to opposed walls 10 and 11 and forming the container base with the other walls 12, 13 being extended beneath the base of the container and folded to form channel shaped supports to maintain the base off the ground. On either side of the flaps 17, 18, and flaps 20, 23 are hinged to the walls 10, 11 and extend through the channel shaped supports. A reinforcing panel may rest on the base and have its ends folded to fit into the channel shaped supports. There may be an external reinforcing member between the supports with optionally its middle portion folded and reinforced to form a third tubular support for the container. A door flap may be provided in wall 11 and after the container is filled may be stitched to an adjacent wall. The container may have a lid or closure flaps. The container may be made from corrugated board or plastics material. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1181130.
