Abstract

1315311 Valves ABILITY PRODUCTS Ltd 11 May 1970 [12 Feb 1969] 7533/69 Heading F2V A water tap, operated by a non-rising rotatable head 24 which has a part 16 in screwthreaded engagement with a valve member 10, 13 on the downstream side of a seat 5, is provided with an auxiliary buoyant sealing closure 6 on the upstream side of the seat, to enable the valve member to be removed. A disengageable stop 25 normally limits the lift to an amount which keeps the closure 6 unseated. As shown, this stop is constituted by a bolt which engages a slidable pin 28 in the screwed stem 16. The stem is retained by a plug 18 secured by a U-shaped clip 20 which on removal may be used to lift the parts by insertion in a hole 23. A removal hook for clip 20, or a lifting plate, may be provided on the head of bolt 25.
