Abstract

1313929 End attachments SOC TECHNIQUE POUR L'UTILISATION DE LA PRECONTRAINTE 8 June 1970 [24 June 1969] 27601/70 Heading D1T A plurality of wires 4 are gripped by a plurality of sectors 6 nesting in a bearing block 2. The sectors 6 have a length L that is at least 50% greater than the height H of the block 2; the angle # of the bearing block 2 is larger than 15‹; the surfaces 11 of the sectors 6 define a frusto-conical formation; and the sectors 6 have opposed grooves 9 in which the wires 4 are held. The angle formed by the outer surfaces of the wedges 6 is between 20' and 2‹ larger than the angle #. The grooves 9 may be roughened by machined serrations or by coating their surfaces with hard particles. (For Figures see next page)
