Abstract

1312197 Stays; resisting pivoting INTERLOCK INDUSTRIES Ltd 29 Nov 1971 [30 Nov 1970] 55280/71 Heading E2F The opening of a window stay consisting of two arms of unequal length each frictionally pivoted to mounting plates 10 and 16, is limited by a disc 19 which has a large segment removed from it thereby providing a flat edge 20 which abuts flange 13 on the plate 10. The disc preferably also includes a raised shoulder 26 provided with a flat edge 27, which in addition to assisting limiting the extent of opening of the stay acts as a support for stay arm 14. The frictional pivoting is preferably effected using the joint described in Specification 1163798.
