Abstract
1311573 1-Phenylquinazolinedione derivatives HISAMITSU PHARMACEUTICAL CO Inc 20 April 1971 [27 April 1970] 10233/71 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula wherein R 1 is alkyl (possibly substituted) or acyl, and R 2 , R 3 are each H, CF 3 , Cl, Br, F, Me, MeO or EtO. These compounds are prepared by reacting the corresponding precursor of the above formula in which R 1 is H, with an alkylating or acylating agent, preferably in presence of an organic or inorganic base; one exemplified method is to react the precursor first with (e.g.) NaH and then with the alkylating or acylating agent. Therapeutic compositions comprising compounds of the above formula have antiinflammatory and analgesic activity.
