Abstract

1311434 Tube end covers KLIPPER INDUSTRIES Inc 15 Feb 1971 4645/71 Heading B8C [Also in Divisions E2 and F2] A protective cover for attachment to the machined surface of a pipe or valve flange 16 comprises a circular plate 12 of plastics material, having apertures 24, and at least two plugs 10 each having a cylindrical body 32 and an enlarged head 11, the body having a plurality of outwardly extending, spaced apart truncated ribs 18 for frictionally engaging in the bolt apertures 14 of the flange 16; the plugs are driven into the apertures and removed therefrom by a punch 30 engaged in a cavity 26 in the plug body.
