Abstract

1311193 Knitting-machine SCHAFFHAUSER STRICKMASCHINENFABRIK 3 April 1970 [3 April 1969] 16032/70 Heading D1C The locks of a parallel machine include cams enabling stitches to be transferred between the beds in either direction, irrespective of the direction of carriage travel. The arrangement of cams permits transfer in both directions during one course. It also enables all stitches, or only certain stitches selected either by butt length arrangements or Jacquards, to be transferred. During carriage traverse from left to right cams 1-5 enable stitches to be transferred from the rear bed to the front where the receiving needles are controlled by cam 6. Similarly stitches are transferred from front to rear by cams 7-12. Cams 13-18; 19-24 are effective on traverses in the opposite direction.
