Abstract

1310124 False twisting KUGELFISCHER GEORG SCHAFER & CO 28 April 1970 20258/70 Heading DID [Also in Division F2] A bearing assembly which is provided on a false twisting spindle 1 or on a shaft of a supporing or driving disc for a false twisting tube, comprises bearing race grooves 4, 4<SP>1</SP> in the spindle or shaft for the balls or rollers of two axially spaced ball or roller bearings 5, 5<SP>1</SP> which are received in a housing 9 surrounding the spindle or shaft, and a stationary tubular end cover 8, 8<SP>1</SP> provided for at least one of the bearings. The cover 8, 8<SP>1</SP> encloses at least those parts of the spindle or shaft extending towards its ends and projects into a recess in a body carried on the spindle or shaft. Preferably the cover 8, 8<SP>1</SP> has an outwardly turned flange. The cover may be mounted around the end of the housing 9 or be formed as a part of the end of the housing, see Fig. 2 and 3 (not shown). (For Figure see next column)
