Abstract
1310095 Linear measuring devices HOECHSTMASS BALZER GmbH & CO 21 April 1971 [22 April 1970] 10426/71 Heading G1M A linear measuring device such as a measuring tape has the numeral and division indicating in one set of alternate decimetre sections of the measurement scale positively printed on a contrasting background, while in the other alternate decimetre sections the background is positively colour printed while the numerals and divisions of the scale constitute a negative print. The scale may be screen printed in a single printing step. The coloured surface in the sections N may be grooved prior to printing so that the printed surface appears lighter in colour than the positive printing in the sections P.
