Abstract
1310091 Sewing machine DURKOPPWERKE GmbH 6 Jan 1971 [20 Feb 1970] 716/71 Heading DIG A sewing machine provided with an engagable and disengagable driving means (a clutch and motor) operable to stop the machine with the needle in a predetermined position, a feed mechanism including a regulator controlling the magnitude and direction of the feed and a thread cutter has control means which control a servo to actuate the regulator to form seam locking stitches at the beginning of the seam, and at the end of the seam actuating the regulator to form seam locking stitches, actuating the thread cutter and lifting the presser foot. As disclosed the operation of the motor clutch (3, Fig. 1, not shown), of a clutch and a brake of an auxiliary drive motor (6) of the presser foot lifting mechanism and of the feed regulator and thread cutter are achieved by pneumatic rams under the control of magnetically operated valves V5, V1, V2, V3, V4 and V6 as selected by switch elements NOR 1-15 and switches b3, closed by a first movement of a pedal (4) in a first direction (A), b1, closed by a further movement and b2 closed by movement of the pedal in a reverse direction (B).
