1308533 Antithrombitic medicines PFIZER INC 29 May 1970 [2 June 1969] 26085/70 Heading A5B Compositions for the treatment of thrombosis comprise a carrier and a compound (or a salt thereof) of the formulae: wherein X and Y are H, F, Cl, Br, NO, or C 1-5 alkyl or alkoxy; R is -OR 1 , or -NHR 2 where R 1 is C 1-12 alkyl, phenyl-C 1-3 alkyl and R 2 is H, C 1-8 alkyl, C 2-6 alkenyl, cycloalkyl of up to 8 C atoms, phenyl, phenylalkyl, halogen-, hydroxy-, alkoxy-, thioalkoxy-, alkyl-, trifluoromethyl-, acetyl-, methyl sulphinyl-, methylsulphonyl- or nitro-substituted phenyl, naphthyl, pyridyl or one of a number of specified mono- and di-cyclic nitrogen-containing heterocyclic radicals which may be substituted by halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, nitro or phenyl, R 3 is H, C 1-5 alkyl, C 2-4 alkenyl or phenyl-C 1-3 alkyl, and Z is 0 or S except when R is -OR, when it is oxygen. Tablets and capsules are exemplified and other conventional oral and parenteral forms are referred to.
