Abstract
1308580 Coin magazines SODECO SOC DES COMPTEURS DE GENEVE SA 18 Aug 1971 [24 Aug 1970] 38703/71 Heading G4X A coin magazine comprises a chamber 6 defined by a cylindrical wall 7 and a helical track (16) in a coaxial cylinder 9 (Fig. 4, not shown), a flange 8 carrying a plurality of equispaced fingers 17 which extend through said chamber parallel to said axis, and delivery means operable to deliver a coin 5 through a slot 13 into said chamber when two adjacent fingers are appropriately positioned to receive a coin, the fingers forming means for propelling coins along said track. In the embodiment described if a coin travelling down shoot 1, 2 is to be delivered into the magazine a solenoid actuated stop 34 is moved into the shoot and the flange 8 rotated clockwise. One of a plurality of cam surfaces 18 on the flange acts on a roller 19 carried by a pivoted lever 20 to move a pusher 4 from the position shown to a position adjacent the slot 13, delivering a coin into the space between two fingers 17. For the restitution of coins, for example to give change, the flange 8 is rotated anticlockwise. The cylindrical wall 7 is provided with another slot 12 such that when the magazine is full coins are directed from the track to a principal magazine.
