Abstract

1308172 Machine tool slides FRATELLI MORANDO & C SpA 23 June 1970 [14 Feb 1970] 30401/70 Headings B3B and B3T Tool carrying apparatus comprises a slideway 1 on which is mounted a main slide 3 which carries three tool slides 7, 8 and 9 on respective slideways 4, 5 and 6, the movement of the slides 8 and 9 being at right angles to the slide 7. The slides may be hydraulically, pneumatically or electrically operated through gears and lead screws. A machine tool incorporating the apparatus may effect turning and facing operations on a workpiece. Simultaneously as shown in Fig. 4 which discloses a two spindle machine in which two workpieces are machined simultaneously.
