Abstract

1305968 Dressing grinding wheels TOS CELAKOVICE NARODNI PODNIK 6 March 1970 [6 March 1969] 10886/70 Heading B3D An apparatus for dressing a worm-thread grinding wheel 12 comprises an independently adjustable diamond member for dressing each flank of the grinding wheel. Each member 1 may consist of a roller rotatably mounted on a respective body 6, each roller being belt-driven from a separate motor 5. Each body is mounted on a pivot 7 in a body 8, and each body 8 is mounted on a pivot 9, one pivot 9 being carried by a carriage 10 which is slidable on a carriage 11 carrying the other pivot 9 for adjusting the relative spacing of the rollers 1, the carriage 11 being movable along a slide 13 on a bed 14. The rollers 1 may be braked or secured. In another embodiment, the dressing members consist of tools 15 and are mounted in supports 16 turnable about pivots 17 for the pitch angle of the worm, each support being independently arranged on supports (18, Fig. 4, not shown) displaceable on stands (19), one of which is adjustable and the other of which is fixed to a carriage (20) slidable on a carriage (21) displaceable on a bed (14).
