1305271 Water-soluble reactive disazo dyes FAABWERKE HOECHST AG 20 Feb 1970 [20 Feb 1969] 8211/70 Heading C4P New water-soluble reactive disazo dyes of formula and the 1,1-copper, 1,2-chromium and cobalt complexes thereof, wherein A and K are the radicals of azo components of the benzene naphthalene, pyrazolene or acetoacetarylamide series coupling ortho to -OH, D is the arylene radical of a diazo component containing a metallizable group or a group convertible thereto under metallizing conditions ortho to a least one -N=N- group, X is a group of formula or -(B) n1 -SO 2 -CH 2 -CH 2 -Z or -(B) n1 - SO 2 -CH=CH 2 wherein R and R<SP>1</SP> are H or alkyl, R<SP>11</SP> is H, alkyl or phenyl, Y and Y<SP>1</SP> are F, B is a group of formula -NH -N(alkyl)-, -CH 2 -, -CH 2 -CH 2 -, -N(R)-COCH 2 - -N(R)-COCH 2 CH 2 -, -N(R)-COC 6 H 4 -, -N(R)-CO-cycloalkyl- or -N(R)-CO- bicycloalkyl, Z is a substituent which can be split off by an alkoline agent other than an alkyl- or aryl-nilphonyloxy group m is 1-7 and n and n<SP>1</SP> are 0 or 1 are prepared by azo coupling, condensation reactions to introduce the group X and metallization, if desired, at any stage. The dyes may be used to colour natural and synthetic polyamide fibres and, preferably, cellulose fibres by the usual reactive dyeing processes in blue, violet, grey and brown shades.
