Abstract

1304501 Spanners R J FROMELL [trading as WARECO ROLF FROMELL] 13 Jan 1971 [28 Jan 1970] 1658/71 Heading B3N A hexagon spanner comprises a handle 10 and a head 11, the handle has pins 12, 13 which engage in slots 14, 15; the end of the handle has a cam form 17 and co-operates with a hexagonal hole in the head to engage a fastener. In operation one of the pins acts as a pivot whilst the other slides in its arcuate slot depending if the spanner is operated clockwise or anticlockwise. In an alternative embodiment the handle is bent so that its major portion is at an angle with the plane in which the head lies. Also the arcuate slots are replaced by an opening having arcuate sides. The pins may be on the head and the handle may have the slots or opening.
