Abstract

1304068 Portable containers; container closures C A NEUBECKER 10 July 1970 [29 July 1969] 33724/70 Headings B8D and B8T The ends -3 and 4 of a cylindrical metal beer cask 1 are each provided with a bung-hole and a bung 5 or 9, the bung 5 incorporating a fixed or rotatably-mounted spraying head 7 having multiple nozzles 8 to facilitate cask cleaning and the other bung 9 incorporating a filling and drainage valve 10. The valve may be a magnetic or spring- closed valve. The head 7 is also utilized for venting the cask during filling and for injecting CO 2 pressurizing gas into the filled container on broaching. Beaded feet rings 2 are provided at each cask end.
