Abstract
1303333 Ignition and control circuit for burners MAYER & WONISCH-SPEZIALFABRIK FUER MESSUND REGELGERAETE 15 Sept 1970 [15 Sept 1969] 43925/70 Heading F4T An ignition and control circuit for a gas burner comprises an electromagnetically operated gas supply valve 2 controlled by a transformer whose primary winding 4 is connected to a power source by means of a timing device 6 bridgeable by thermoelectric means, and whose secondary winding 5 is connected to an ignition device. The timing device 6 is preferably a P.T.C. resistor connected in parallel with a relay contact 8 controlled by a thermoelectric element 10 adjacent the burner flame such that the valve 2 is opened for a limited time only unless fame establishment effects closure of contacts 8. Charging capacitor 13, thyristor 15 and glow lamp 17 relaxation circuit effect spark ignition of the burner via transformer windings 18, 19 and electrode 20, and on flame establishment ionization electrode 21 shuts out the ignition circuit by bridging capacitor 14. If flame fails, reignition is effected, but if unsuccessful the circuit will be shut down and a signal lamp 22 operated.
