Abstract
1302857 Laminates GLACIER METAL CO Ltd 17 Feb 1970 [17 Feb 1969] 8470/69 Heading B5N [Also in Divisions B7 and F1] A laminate comprises laminµ some or all of which have reinforcing fibres, the reinforcing fibres being orientated in different directions in different laminµ, the laminµ containing a settable resin, and at least one of the laminµ being folded over an edge of the laminate to give protection against exfoliation of the laminµ at the edge. The fibres may be carbon fibres and epoxy resin is specified as the settable resin. Laminates having an aerofoil section, e.g. a turbine or compressor blade, a helicopter rotor blade and a wing, are disclosed.
