Abstract

1302091 Feeding webs TEC SYSTEMS Inc 19 Feb 1970 [27 Feb 1969] 7906/70 Headings F4G G18J and G11A A web or sheet 9 having, for example, a printed or coated surface is supported during its passage through treatment apparatus 19, e.g. a drier, by gas cushions produced by a series of nozzles 17, 18 which are designed to utilize the Coanda effect. The nozzles may be positioned on one side only of the web, and suitable nozzle constructions are described with reference to Figs. 3 to 15 (not shown) and 16.
