Abstract

1301688 Interior lamps WINGARD Ltd 20 Sept 1971 [25 Sept 1970] 45698/70 Heading F4R A vehicle interior lamp comprises a case 1 having a peripheral flange 3 for mounting in a panel 2, and a lens 6 pivotably mounted by aligned pins 7 in the case, the lens supporting a bulb 8 on resilient contact members 9, one end 11 of one member 9 engaging recesses 17, 18 in a stationary contact 15 or an earth 23 so that selective angular positions of the lens are possible, each position completing a different circuit for energizing the bulb. The contact 15 may be associated with a door closing contact, a second contact 12 with the line contact, and a third contact 22 with earth, thereby enabling a courtesy door light, or permanently on or permanently off switch positions to be made by pivoting the lens. The inner surface of the lens 6 may have a pattern of small squares or pyramids thereon for diffusion purposes.
