Abstract

1300525 Batch mixers NAUTAMIX PATENT AG 23 April 1971 [23 April 1970] 11156/71 Heading B1C A stirring device comprises a vessel 1, a stirring member 2 extending upwardly and slidably and rotatably supported by a first support member 9 which is rotatably supported supported by a second support member 10, and drive means for rotating the stirring member 2 about its own axis and the member 2 and the support members 9, 10 about the axis of the vessel 1, the drive means including transmission wheels 34, 35 rotatably mounted in the support member 9. The stirring member 2 bears on a pin 5 on a bottom plate 4 having a discharge opening 37 controlled by a slide 38, and its top is connected to a universal joint 7. A motor 18 drives the support member 10 through gears 24, 26, and a motor 19 drives the stirring member 2 through gears 28, 29 and the wheels 34, 35. The wheels 34, 35 may be replaced by a rope drive. Only one drive motor may be provided.
