1300596 Enzyme-containing granules KNAPSACK AG 6 Nov 1970 [19 Nov 1969] 52928/70 Addition to 1214234 Heading C5D In a process for producing enzyme-containing granules according to Specification 1,214,234 wherein an aqueous solution or suspension of a cellulose ether is sprayed on to a dry blend consisting of a hydratable, anhydrous or partially hydrated alkali metal or ammonium salt of an inorganic or organic acid and a powdered enzyme and wherein the whole is granulated with thorough agitation while effecting the spraying step, the improvement comprises using the aqueous solution or suspension of said cellulose ether with a proportion of water therein which is sufficient to effect hydration of between 93 and 98%, preferably 96%, of the alkali metal or ammonium salt present in the finished granules.
