Abstract

1300352 Coating apparatus SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAP. PIJ NV 20 April 1971 10032/71 Heading B2L Apparatus for spraying polyurethene foam on to the inside of storage tanks in ships comprises a carriage 13 having a hydraulically extentaible arm 19, 21 mounted on a turntable 17 and carrying at its free end 24 a horizontal bridge 27 which carries a trolley 53 with spraying nozzles 53, 54 which trolley is displaceable with respect to the bridge. The trolley 53 is mounted on supports 28 carrying rollers 29 and the supports 28 can be moved along the bridige 27 by means of drive belts driven from a motor 30 through a gearbox 33. Mounted on the suports 28 are further supports 46 and these are pivotable about axis 47 and also carry the trolley 53. The supports 46 can be locked at any desired angle by pins 51. As shown in Fig. 4 the trolley 53 can move in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bridge 27.
