Abstract

1300167 Rotational moulding apparatus SEKISUI KAGAKU KOGYO KK 30 April 1970 [13 Aug 1969] 20955/70 Heading B5A A centrifugal moulding apparatus comprises an overhead track 1 with a plurality of carriages 3 mounted thereon, each carriage supporting a mould 2 on a frame 4, 5 so that the mould is rotatable about a shaft 36 in the direction of arrow a, and a shaft 6 in the direction of an arrow b, by an electric motor 7 via a belt 11, shaft 10, and gearing 32, 33, a heating tunnel 14, and a cooling tank 16 through which the moulds pass as they move round the track 1. The apparatus also includes a charging point 12 for feeding a powdered synthetic resin to the moulds and a withdrawal point 17 leading to a conveyer 18. In Figs. 4 to 7, not shown, the carriages (49) move on tracks at ground level, and the moulds are rotated about a shaft (57) by a motor (58), and about a shaft (68) in a heating tunnel (46) by a motor (69).
