Abstract

1300095 Tobacco smoke filters LIGGETT & MYERS Inc 28 Jan 1970 [6 Feb 1969] 4047/70 Heading A2C A filter for cigarettes &c. comprises particles of diatomaceous earth that are substantially uniform in size to the extent that the smallest are not less than 25% of the size of the largest, size being expressed in terms of a linear dimension such as mean or effective diameter of the particles. The particles, which are preferably of flux-calcined diatomaceous earth and within the size range of 100 to 425 microns. may be confined between filter plugs of cellulose fibre material.
