1399814 Lubricants BRITISH PETROLEUM CO Ltd 19 Oct 1972 [5 Nov 1971] 51479/71 Heading C5F An antioxidant composition for mineral and synthetic ester lubricants comprises (1) 1,2,3,6,- 7,8 - hexahydropyrene and (11) a dialkyl or diaryl sulphide, zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate or dialkyl thiodicarboxylate, the molar ratios of (1) to (11) being in the range 1 : 2 to 4 : 1 respectively.
