Abstract
1399542 Potentiometers ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS Ltd AB 17 Sept 1973 [3 Nov 1972] 50795/72 Heading HIS The collector element 4 of a rotary potentiometer comprises a spigot 46 integral with the collector terminal 4a, the spigot being passed through a central aperture in a ceramic base 1, carrying an arcuate resistor track 1a, and then formed over the edge of the aperture to form a collector track and to secure the element 4 to the base. Projections 9 on the element 4 pass through corresponding holes in the base and limit rotation of a knob (6, Fig. 2, not shown) carrying a bridging wiper (5) which may include a carbon brush (7). Further projections 11 are used to mount the potentiometer on a board.
