Abstract

1399004 Label; bag closure F E MILLER 24 May 1973 [1 March 1972] 9500/72 Headings B8F B8C and B8K [Also in Division E2] A closure and/or indentification device of flexible synthetic plastics sheet material comprises a planar attachment portion 1 including slits defining tabs 3 which are resiliently bendable to define an aperture surrounded by a ring of the material, the tabs being bendable out of the general plane of the ring of material and can engage around and grip an element to be closed and/or identified. The slits may radiate from an aperture (4), Fig. 2 (not shown). An information bearing portion 2 is hinged to the attachment portion. The device may be formed by injection moulding or stamping, and can be used to label rope, wire or cable, Fig. 4 (not shown). It can also be used to close the gathered neck of a bag, Fig. 5 (not shown).
