1398023 Preparation of 6-w-(3<SP>1</SP>-phenylpyrrolidyl - -1<SP>1</SP>)propionylbenzo - 1,4 - dioxane and salts thereof TNSTITUT TOXIKOLOGII MINISTERSTVA ZDRAVOOKHRANENIA SSSR 25 Oct 1972 [5 June 1972] 49120/72 Heading C2C Salts of 6 - w - (3<SP>1</SP> - phenylpyrrolidyl - 1<SP>1</SP>) propionylbenzo-1,4-dioxane of the formula wherein A is a chlorine-free mineral acid or an organic acid, may be prepared by reacting the base with an appropriate acid. The base starting material is obtained by reacting 3-phenylpyrrolidine with 6-w-dimethylaminopropionylbenzo-1,4-dioxane in the presence of an alkaline agent in an organic solvent medium ; the starting material may be employed in the form of a base or salt and the dimethylamine produced may be removed with an inert gas. The salts possess pharmaceutical properties and exhibit a peripheral and central adreno blocking action.
