Abstract

1397651 Container traffic vehicle loading ASTEKO SA 5 Jan 1973 [8 Jan 1972 26 April 1972] 700/73 Heading B8Q A vehicle has a frame 10 tiltable on its chassis 1 by a ram 11 and provided with an extension 2 pivoted or extendable thereon and having ground engaging wheels at its end. The frame 10 has side beams 14 and a further ram 7 is arranged longitudinally thereon and is provided with a pulley wheel or wheels 16 and other pulleys 9 at the end of the piston 8 on a crosshead 15 so that a line or chain 6 can be passed through the pulley system for a hook at its end to be attached to a container 5. The crosshead 15 is guided by plates 13 on the beams 14. The container 5 has wheels 4 at its rear and smaller wheels 3 at the front and because of the movement multiplying effect of the pulley system a small extension of the piston 8 will pull the container 5 on to the frame 10 thus to load the vehicle. To align the container 5 during loading it has flanges 17, Fig. 3, which are guided by projections 12 on the beams 14. When a container without wheels is to be loaded a platform having wheels, lower grooves and side projections may be used in a similar way after connection to the container.
