1396393 Attaching shoes to pedal cranks of cycles E UCCELLINI 13 June 1972 [19 June 1971] 27551/72 Heading B7E A device for attaching a shoe 20 to a pedal crank comprises a tube 8, rotatable about a shaft 10 adapted to be secured to the crank in place of a pedal the tube mounting a guide 4 provided with a tongue 26 fixed at one end and integral with a pin which engages with a hole 30 in a plate 16 adapted to be fixed to the shoe when the plate is slid on to the guide. The plate is further located by a tongue 18 engaging a notch 18<SP>1</SP>. A rod 22 extending transversely from the guide is formed with a wedge shaped inner end which releases the pin from the hole when it is moved inwardly.
